| ...... The manufacturer claims 200HP/per cylinder. Also, SZ's drag car has been around for how long, and how many miles, and @ 800+rwhp for how long now and never had its eagles, stretch, bend, crack or fly out the block right? If I recall correctly as well, I think the Z where a 4digit dyno post was made by Greg a while back also had eagle rod's @ 1007rwhp or somewhere close to that... At the end of the day, each person needs to figure out which part they wanna use for their own power goals.. Some use eagle, others chose other brand names. Any rod, whether eagle , pauter, Carrillo, etc.. When subjected to the right conditions can fail, plain and simple. No rod is stretch or bend proof. For well over 95% of the Z's out there on the road who do a rebuild of some sorts; eagles will be fine as a economical option for most sub 1000rwhp builds. Not very many people in the Z world have ventured into the 1000+rwhp levels.. Much less monitored long term @ those levels to truly know how good or bad they are for reliability claims.. As our community continues to truck along and approach the 1000+whp range where allot of other popular platforms are having success.. We'll all see the limits of many parts we commonly use in the pursuit of 4digit rwhp... Not just rod's. I for 1 selected my parts and machine shop, based on my aggressive goals...I have eagles, and I will push them till if and when they fail on my 800+rwhp capable setup... If they do, no biggie, all it will do is expedite me redo-ing my current setup, for the next 1 I have been planning for over a year now that's on the drawing board.. So it would be a win win for me... As I am already getting board with my current, and craving for the next.. Lol..
